Fareham, United Kingdom: DQ Global, the experts in data quality improvement today announced an International golf match between the UK’s Direct Marketing Industry and the Irish Direct Marketing Industry.
Martin Doyle, keen golfer and this years’ president of DMIGS (Direct Marketing Industry Golf Society), came up with the idea for the first international trip in the society’s history. This culminated in the DMIGS playing a Ryder Cup style match against the Irish Direct Marketing Association on the 29th of this month in Ireland.
Many of the DMIGS will be travelling with partners, who will no doubt enjoy a little pampering and shopping whilst the golfers take to the course and do battle.
The match is being plaid at Carton House (European Golf Resort of the year 2008) where 12 players from the UK will be playing 12 players from Ireland in two 18 hole matches. Martin say’s “it should be a great day, we have a little help though from one of our players Peter Appleyard, friend of DMIGS who led the British Open this year on day 1 for a few short hours. We’re truly looking forward to making new friends and forging business relationships with our Irish counterparts in the DM industry.”
